Rauru Necklace

50cm paper-clip chain

Non tarnish, hypoallergenic, 18k gold stainless steel

This taonga has quickly become one of my faves!

Inspired by the Māori kupu rauru — symbolising heritage, lineage, and the interwoven strands that bind us — this piece honours connection in its purest form.

Crafted from hypoallergenic, non-tarnish stainless steel, the paper-clip chain offers a modern, lightweight feel. At its centre hangs a sleek pendant ring adorned with three pounamu studs, representing strength, grounding, and the bonds that carry us forward.

A subtle, meaningful taonga designed to keep your whakapapa and your sense of home close to your manawa.

Design

Design Kōrero | Aho Collective

Each Aho Collective piece is thoughtfully designed to honour strength, connection, and everyday wear.

Our jewellery is crafted using high-quality stainless steel, chosen for its durability, hypoallergenic properties, and resistance to tarnishing. This makes our pieces suitable for daily wear while maintaining their form and finish over time.

Where included, pounamu is used with care and intention. Pounamu is a taonga within te ao Māori, valued for its strength, mana, and deep cultural significance. Each stone is unique in colour and pattern, reflecting its natural origin. No two pieces are the same.

Together, these materials represent balance — modern durability paired with ancestral significance — creating jewellery that carries both story and presence.
