Description

Ruruhau – Woven Pōtae

Ruruhau is a beautifully woven pōtae created by a master weaver and kaiako of raranga, carrying with it generations of knowledge, care, and cultural integrity. Each pōtae is more than an accessory — it is a taonga that reflects the deep connection between people, whenua, and tradition.

Handwoven with intention and respect, Ruruhau offers both form and function, providing comfort, protection, and a sense of grounding for the wearer. Its timeless design allows it to be worn with pride in everyday life or during moments of significance, honouring te ao Māori wherever you go.

By choosing Ruruhau, you are supporting living Māori art and the continuation of traditional weaving practices passed down through whakapapa and teaching.

Available sizes (circumference):
• Small – 56cm
• Medium – 60cm
• Large – 64cm

Each pōtae is individually woven, making every piece unique in character and spirit.

Design

Design Kōrero | Aho Collective

Each Aho Collective piece is thoughtfully designed to honour strength, connection, and everyday wear.

Our jewellery is crafted using high-quality stainless steel, chosen for its durability, hypoallergenic properties, and resistance to tarnishing. This makes our pieces suitable for daily wear while maintaining their form and finish over time.

Where included, pounamu is used with care and intention. Pounamu is a taonga within te ao Māori, valued for its strength, mana, and deep cultural significance. Each stone is unique in colour and pattern, reflecting its natural origin. No two pieces are the same.

Together, these materials represent balance — modern durability paired with ancestral significance — creating jewellery that carries both story and presence.
