Description

Hina – Pounamu Bangle

This bangle has been given the name Hina, the personification of the moon in te ao Māori. She moves through her phases with quiet strength, guiding the rhythms of the tides, the growth of kai, and the wellbeing of the whenua. This bangle honours that natural cycle — a reminder that we too move through seasons of renewal, rest, and rising again.

Crafted from genuine pounamu, Hina is shaped in a full circle, symbolising continuity and the ever-turning lunar phases. Measuring 65mm in diameter with an 8mm thickness, it has a balanced, rounded form that feels solid yet smooth against the skin. Its simplicity allows the natural beauty of the stone to speak for itself.

Pounamu carries grounding energy — connecting the wearer to the land, to whakapapa, and to the steady pull of the moon above and the earth below.

Hina is a piece to wear daily. Quiet. Strong. Grounded.

Design

Design Kōrero | Aho Collective

Each Aho Collective piece is thoughtfully designed to honour strength, connection, and everyday wear.

Our jewellery is crafted using high-quality stainless steel, chosen for its durability, hypoallergenic properties, and resistance to tarnishing. This makes our pieces suitable for daily wear while maintaining their form and finish over time.

Where included, pounamu is used with care and intention. Pounamu is a taonga within te ao Māori, valued for its strength, mana, and deep cultural significance. Each stone is unique in colour and pattern, reflecting its natural origin. No two pieces are the same.

Together, these materials represent balance — modern durability paired with ancestral significance — creating jewellery that carries both story and presence.
