Description

Waerenga | Pounamu Bracelet

Waerenga speaks to the relationship between our hands, the whenua, and the growth that comes from what we choose to nurture.

Inspired by the hand that reaches into the soil, turns the earth and creates space for new life, Waerenga is a reminder that growth often begins beneath the surface — long before it can be seen.

Two pounamu pieces rest upon the ring clasp, each carrying its own meaning. One represents the kākano — the seed beneath the soil, held quietly within the whenua. The other represents the growth that emerges above, reaching toward the light.

Together, they represent the journey from planting to becoming — the mahi we put in when nobody can see it, and the growth that eventually reveals itself.

Waerenga is a taonga for those who are planting, nurturing, growing and becoming.

Details: 22cm length · 6mm Belcher chain · statement ring clasp · two genuine pounamu ring studs.

He kākano i ruia mai — from a seed, growth begins.

Design

Design Kōrero | Aho Collective

Each Aho Collective piece is thoughtfully designed to honour strength, connection, and everyday wear.

Our jewellery is crafted using high-quality stainless steel, chosen for its durability, hypoallergenic properties, and resistance to tarnishing. This makes our pieces suitable for daily wear while maintaining their form and finish over time.

Where included, pounamu is used with care and intention. Pounamu is a taonga within te ao Māori, valued for its strength, mana, and deep cultural significance. Each stone is unique in colour and pattern, reflecting its natural origin. No two pieces are the same.

Together, these materials represent balance — modern durability paired with ancestral significance — creating jewellery that carries both story and presence.
